My Car needs a Major Overhaul!

 

On occasion I have to deal with unexpected expenses that throws off my budget. What can I say this is how life works and we either have to be ready or not to deal with the issues. How many times have you heard the phrase Murphy’s law, which references anything that can go wrong will go wrong. The emergencies or events almost always happen at inopportune times. Why do we have unexpected expenses? (No one knows but they sure stink)

Well this recently happened to me and it really makes it difficult to think optimistically. Challenging times are not easy but also completely help you realize a fire within you to push forward. The incident that made my heart skip a beat, was a major car accident. Another driver fell asleep and hit my parked car at 6 a.m. last Saturday morning.

Let’s jump right into this one and begin to discuss the purpose behind the 3 emergency fund accounts. An emergency can happen at any given moment, but will you be prepared to fight through the financial snow storm? In my situation I have about 3 accounts that I can tap if an emergency arises. It helps me sleep better at night because it’s a safety net waiting to catch me if I fall on hard times. Now what is considered hard times is up for debate, as some people feel a trip to the beach for a week is considered hard times.

I released a gem of a post a few months back and it was all based on the good old emergency fund topic we all love. Now I will impart unto you a second rendition of the reasons you need an emergency fund.

This is a great topic that everyone can relate too, and I created with a semi-comedic twist to make all of you crack up literally while reading. Talking about money can be funny if you just try a different approach.

I wonder if everyone had an Emergency fund how much easier and simpler life can be. One of the basic foundations of money management is having a savings fund. If this is too hard for you, and you are employed in today’s world then something is seriously wrong. Now let’s get back to having a blast with this topic as I would like to keep things light.

I recently wrote a piece titled the 5 reasons you need an emergency fund and it was a success. Now I want to give you a sequel to the subject at hand named emergency fund heck yea. I implore you to do anything possible to build this baby up because in life we have no real safety nets. Mind you I want this to be a funny post, provided by actual circumstances that might have happened to me, someone else or just plain old fiction.

How not to use Emergency Funds

In this article listed in Daily Finance the author expresses how he used his emergency funds to cover a big car repair bill for a 2002 Honda Accord. He spent 5 grand on an 11-year-old car that is probably not even worth that much if he were to trade it in.
