How to control the uncontrollable
Prepare Now for the Uncontrollable Events

When I say this phrase I want you to really grasp that it is an oxymoron, because uncontrollable things are out of our hands. But you must see that the way you prepare yourself in many aspects of life will help you eventually when the uncontrollable events take place. By being just a little bit more organized you can overcome those unfortunate aspects of life. What are some of the uncontrollable events I talk about?

Uncontrollable Things:

Medical Emergencies

Death

Time

Other People

Natural Disasters

Governmental Policies

Inflation

Politics

Many of the uncontrollable things above can devastate a family, and many times it just takes a new vision being put in place before they happen. For example if you sort of put in your mind that some or all of these things will occur in you’re lifetime or maybe hit you’re doorstep tomorrow, then you will be more prepared to overcome them when that time comes. It may be an unfortunate thing when death hits, but if you have a will then your family is ready to handle your affairs in the manner you suggested. Now is the time you may ask me, so how can I control the uncontrollable things that may happen to me? Well first you have to understand that money is a tool to help you and how you use the money we have now to manage these events later.

Medical Emergencies – Buy insurance for family members / Having emergency Funds

Death – Having enough life insurance / Having a Will / Leaving a Nest Egg

Time – Start early with saving, so that you can enjoy the time later. (The passing of time is uncontrollable)

Other People – people are difficult to deal with (Learn how to deal with them or remove them out of your life)

Natural Disasters – Property / Vehicle Insurance / Buying resources to get you through major disasters / Emergency Funds

Governmental Policies (Social Security and Taxes) – Pay your taxes legally / Do not depend on Social Security / Tax Free Retirement Fund

Inflation – Decide that you will beat inflation by saving more than normal (Milk will cost 10 dollars in the future will you be ready to afford it)

Politics – Learn how to manage the politics involved with work / Family to get the best results for any situation.

Obviously some of you might read this and say; hey if I wear my seatbelt I will not die in a car accident. Another example you might say is, if I avoid going mountain climbing I will not have a medical emergency. That is not the point I am trying to convey in this post, yes you can mitigate risk towards many things in life, but this is about you living life more at ease by having money as a readily available tool. It will ultimately help you overcome these major life setbacks that can occur at a moments notice.

  1. The unexpected is inevitable. The best we can do is prepare for the worst and hope for the best sometimes. I keep a certain amount of funds aside and liquid in case of something uncontrollable popping up.
